How far can we go?

I still remember the good old days when hot weather only happens at summer, rainy days starting exactly at the month of June, and even months before, Christmas breeze can already be felt. The times when we take an afternoon nap without using electric fans and air conditioners because the wind is cold enough, and very calming which makes us sleep better. The moments when children are jumping with joy when it’s windy, because they take it as an opportunity to play kites. The moments when we attend mass at dawn and it’s really cold which makes us hard to get up from bed. Nostalgic.

Even in the shortest period of time, a lot of things can change. For the years of going through modernization, we haven’t thought of the irreversible effects of our behavior in our nature. Deforestation, Fossil fuels, Industrial wastes, and Pollution. Unpleasant human activities that affected our nature but contributed on living a modern life. How selfish humans are, right? Natural habitats are being destroyed and animals are being extinct, all mostly because of human activities. Glaciers are melting and sea-levels are rising rapidly. Forests and wildlife are declining. Water and air life is at risk. How far can we go? What else can we do?

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the influence of media, a lot of people became aware on what’s happening to our nature. We have been restricted to go out for months, and a lot of us have started taking care of plants at home. Let us all take our parts in making our world better, like how it served us to live our lives to the fullest. Being human requires humane behavior. Remember, that human being is completely different from being human.

  1. The title is appealing and the whole content was meaningful. It is also well stated and organized. I like how you pointed significant insights. Reminiscing how the world slowly changed due to modernization and unhealthy human activities truly has irreversible affects and devastate the whole world. I agree that awareness, accomplishing responsibilities and human being are greatest attribute solution to achieve resilience for the planet and world.

  2. We are living in a modern era and the influence of media have had a huge benefaction on the state of our environment right now. It is great to see that most people are now being aware of what our nature had become these past years and pushed them to do what they can to save our planet. Awareness alone is a big step-up for us in recovering our sole home.
